Frequently-Asked QuestionsAnswers to many of your FAQs are below.
Home care is support with housekeeping or personal care that is generally non-medical in nature. Services are provided by direct support professionals (DSPs) or certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and can include help around the house, meal preparation, shopping and errand running, personal care and the like. A doctor’s order is NOT required for home care.
BiosHealth accepts long-term care insurance or private pay (cash, check, ACH or credit/debit card) for home care. For home health care, we accept Medicare, health insurance or private pay.
Medicare pays for physician-ordered, skilled home health care services such as nursing and therapy services following an eligible hospitalization. Medicare Advantage pays for home care service for qualified conditions. Traditional Medicare does NOT pay for home care without a qualified hospitalization and physician’s order. The scope of the home care offered also tends to be limited.
We are happy to serve you 24 hours per day, including weekends and holidays. Holiday rates apply.
Our caregivers go through extensive background checks that are more rigorous than what is required by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. All of our caregivers are bonded and insured. We want you to have the best quality care from the best caregivers.
Consistency of care is one of our highest priorities, so we work hard to match you with caregivers (certified home health aids, care attendants and direct support professionals) who are a good fit for you and for your needs. This helps ensure you keep the same caregivers during your time with BiosHealth.
